Eka was elected as a chair woman of National Road. Transport Operators Assosiation (ORGANDA) in 2010, and her term lasts Ito 2015. From the total of 427 Members, EK's won 281 votes or 65%. Eka's victory made her as the first woman who leads the organization in its 52 years of existence, although her father also held the post. Eka became the seventh Organda's chairwoman.
Eka previously served as aGeneral treasurer at the organization. The organization has about 450 branches and includes land land transportation such as trucks and buses.
"When I was elected , many members doubted my ability because I'm a woman. A branch leader admitted it in a national meeting. Saying that he had initially doubted I could lead the organization. But he confessed that he was wrong," says Eka.
